Louise & Hugo · 0:23
It was three in the morning.
Dementia, broken sleep and working the next morning: Louise tells Hugo why an early night is not enough. A short fictional family conversation.
Transcript
Louise: My sister told me to get an early night. I nearly threw the phone.
Hugo: You'd like an early night. You just can't get one.
Louise: Mum was dressed for work at three. Again. I've got work myself at nine.
Hugo: How long has this been happening?
Louise: Weeks. I'm starting to dread bedtime.
Hugo: then this needs more support than another sleep tip. Her GP or care team needs to know what the nights are like and what they're doing to you.
Louise: I don't need someone to tell me to have a bath.
Hugo: You need someone to help you get some sleep.
