Built from lived experience.
The Dementia Companion and The Dementia Assistant® grew from my personal experience of dementia with my grandfather, alongside almost a decade of working as a dementia companion practitioner.
Over those years, I saw dementia from both sides — as a family member and through supporting people living with dementia and the families and professionals around them.
I built the system I needed but couldn’t find — one that didn’t just digitise paperwork, but actively helped protect his dignity, supported the professionals caring for him, and kept him at the centre of every decision. That’s what I wished for my grandfather, and what I hope for every other person’s grandfather in the future.
